    As an Access Associate, you will be responsible for many administrative support duties, such as greeting patients, answering patient phone calls, performing check-in and check-out procedures and processing registration insurance verifications. This position requires a warm and inviting disposition, as you will be the first point of contact for our patients and their families. Must be sensitive and empathetic to the medical and mental health needs of people experiencing homelessness.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Provide professional front-desk assistance in medical clinic by greeting patients upon arrival

    Provide excellent customer service, addressing patient inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.

    Complete registration process ensuring personal information is updated, insurance card and required documentation is in patient record.

    Provide education on Sliding Fee Discount Program and ensure FQHC in patient record is updated.

    Schedule and confirm patient appointments, both in-person and over the phone.

    Answer and direct phone calls, providing information and assistance to patients and visitors.

    Transcribe clear messages to specific pools for follow up.

    Maintain patient records and ensure all information is accurate and up-to-date.

    Assist with the preparation and processing of medical forms and documents.

    Coordinate with medical staff to ensure timely patient flow and address any scheduling conflicts.

    Process/ Assist with patient referrals.

    Process and disseminate On-Base fax.

    Assist with scheduling Lyft rides.

    Assist providers and case management personnel per their delegation.

    Assists provider with documentation and electronic transmission of medical data.

    Upon request, compiles statistical data from patient records that are necessary for Quality Assurance/Improvement activities.

    Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations and office policies.

    Other duties as assigned.

    Requirements:

    Customer service-oriented with a friendly and professional demeanor.

    3 plus years similar experience, preferably in a healthcare environment.

    Epic (Care Connect) experience preferred.

    Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

    Outstanding organizational and time management skills, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.

    Maintain comprehensive and accurate records utilizing discretion for privacy and confidentiality.

    Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

    Schedule: Day shift 8:00am - 4:30pm, Monday - Friday.

    Work Setting: In-person at a Family Medicine Practice for patients experiencing homelessness.
