About your role:
Provides outpatient therapy for children and adults and completes new intakes and assessments as assigned.
Facilitates therapeutic groups and outpatient counseling services to students and their families according to accepted proposal during approximately the 180 days school is in session; also delivers services throughout school breaks to students identified as wanting to receive mental health services during these times
Uses evidence-based practices with students and their families to reach target of 17 billable hours per week
Flexibility to provide individual and group family sessions as needed after regular school hours in the school, home, and community settings.
Implements protocol assigned by AFS and School in crisis scenarios/assessments as clinically indicated.
Works with Company personnel and leadership in identifying and correcting deficits with person-centered plans or other required agency documentation.
Conducts clinical evaluations and assessments in accordance with agency and accreditation standards.
Maintains accurate and timely records, including clinical assessments, services notes and billing documentation according to agency policy.
Reviews clinical documentation of assigned staff (if applicable).
Submits clinical and billing documentation the same day of service delivery.
Participates in planning and implementing quality improvement activities, including supervision with Regional Director and team meetings with other therapists.
Maintains up-to-date knowledge of field by participating in continuing education activities.
Provides positive customer relations in dealing with school personnel, consumers, families, physicians, fellow department employees, other agency departments, referral sources, service agencies, and others.
Adheres to all department/agency policies, including expectations set forth in school-based therapy proposal
Do the following apply to you:
Masters Degree in human services
Associates license (LPC-A, LCSW-A, LMFT-A)
One year of experience working with school based population
