We are looking for a motivated garage door service technician to join our growing staff. As a technician, your main duties will be installing garage doors in residences and commercial buildings. Since our business specializes in remodels, new installations, and repairs, technicians will visit various project sites, and no two days will be the same. You'll be interacting with customers on a daily basis across all of our service areas, so you must possess excellent customer service skills. A person with experience using power tools and a fundamental knowledge of how electrical systems are wired and connected would be an ideal candidate for this position. Responsibilities: • Accurately measure openings for installation and site checks for bigger jobs • Participate in company meetings and adhere to company procedures • Complete a thorough inspection, make a precise diagnosis of any problems with the present system, and give the customer their options • Utilize software to take notes, make quotes, and create invoices for customers • Be on time for all appointments, and put forth your best effort to satisfy customers Qualifications: • Competent in the use of both power tools and hand tools • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent GED certificate • Skills in math and the ability to solve problems are required, as is the ability to use a measuring tape • Must have great communication, listening, and teamwork skills • Good understanding with the wiring and connections used in electrical systems Compensation: $18 - $28 hourly
