    Job Description

    Reporting to the IT Manager, the Junior Systems Administrator monitors and maintains the company computer systems, installs, and configures hardware/software and solves technical problems.

     

    What you’ll do:

    Monitor and respond quickly to helpdesk requests by: performing level I and II helpdesk duties which includes maintaining and deploying company owned hardware such as laptops (Windows and OSX), desktops, printers, peripherals and wired/mobile phones (iPhone and Android).

    • Provide technical support for company software which includes Microsoft Office, SharePoint, Adobe and Autodesk products.
    • Complete new user setup using Active Directory, laptop, and phone setup, as well as proper file share access.
    • Mobile Device Management support including additions, terminations, policy enforcement and security.
    • Escalate more advanced technical problems to IT Manager and/or outsourced technical resources ensuring problems are resolved timely and effectively.
    • Assist the IT Manager with company projects
    • Other duties, which include inventory and knowledge base management.

     

    What we’d love to see:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Business Administration is required, with 1-3 years’ experience.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, personable/capable of communicating effectively with all levels of the organization.
    • Drive, self-motivated, capable of researching solutions to issues or challenges with a continuous improvement mindset.
    • Capability to manage multiple tasks and deliver accordingly.
    • Solid problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail, ability to adhere to deadlines.
    • Strong documentation and writing skills to add to and augment our existing IT Knowledge Base.
    • Capable of handling highly confidential information.
    • Advanced use of Microsoft Office tools such as Outlook, Word, and Excel.
    • SQL and MS Powershell experience a plus.
    • Windows and OSX experience.
