  • Responsibilities

    System engineering effort centers on mirrored enterprise services and cryptologic systems comprised primarily of Enterprise Linux and VMWare ESXi servers installed on Dell, EMC, Intel and Supermicro hardware. You will design, enhance, build, field and support signals intelligence (SIGINT) systems employed by the armed services. You will be part of a small tight-knit team that supports the warfighter with key capabilities.

     

    Responsibilities:

    • Assist with the development of software engineering capabilities (solutions, enhancements, and improvements) to be integrated within the customers TRTD Program.

    • Install equipment and cabling.

    • Install radio frequency equipment and components.

    • Create rack elevation and cabling diagrams.

    • Perform radio frequency (RF) insertion loss and noise figure tests.

    • Assist with the maintenance of the customer’s inventory and software configuration management.

    • Assist with the administration and configuration of Enterprise Linux (Red Hat, Oracle, CentOS) based systems.

    • Install and configure group policies and monitor compliance.

    • Maintain and perform Nessus scans.

    • Provide recommendations for hardware and software as required.

    • Provide basic guidance to users for system operation.

    • Assist in the development of system administration and user guides for deploying personnel.

    • Experience with VMWare ESXi and Windows Server 201X a plus

       

      REQUIRED SKILLS:

      • Ability to install and pre-groom SIGINT systems for platform/field site installation

      • Ability to assist in analysis of user’s requirements and configuration of collection system architectures to meet those requirements

      • Ability to assist with use of configurations management tools to store, track, and manage configuration items

      • Ability to work independently and define, implement and configuration manage hardware and software systems

      • Ability to conduct quality assurance on new systems as well as those identified and returned from missions to ensure system functionality

      • Ability to perform industry review and cost assessments of SIGINT equipment

      • Proficient in Linux and familiar with other TCP/IP IT devices and computers

      • Ability to develop detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates , resource plans, and status reports

      • Ability to manage installation of program equipment on surface and subsurface platforms

      • Ability to develop drawings and installation documents

       

    Qualifications

    TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelors and nine (9) years or more experience; Masters and seven (7) years related experience, PHD or JD and four (4) years related experience. 15 years work experience in lieu of a Bachelor degree

     

    CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:

    • Must be United States citizen

    • Must possess an SSBI that is current within the last 5 years

    • Must possess a current DoD TS Clearance

    • Must be eligible for TS/SCI access

       

    CERTIFICATIONS:

    • Required: Security + or accepted credentials to achieve DOD IAT level-1

    • Desired: Active credentials to achieve DOD IAT level-2 or higher

    • Desired: Linux and/or Windows certifications

       

    TRAVEL:

    • Up to 25% travel is anticipated most likely with fielding events and urgent support calls

    • Valid passport is required, as International travel is also needed.
