    This full-time position will serve as the Cyber Security Analyst for the US Army Historical Information and Resources Division (HIRD), U.S. Army Center of Military History (CMH). You will be responsible for managing and monitoring cyber security compliance for CMH’s existing DOD Risk Management Framework (RMF) materials covering two major software applications. One is unclassified and just received a three-year ATO. The other is one classified at the SECRET level and is currently undergoing the final SCA-A review before going to the AO for approval and its first ATO.

    Located at Ft. McNair in Washington, DC (metro-accessible, free parking, flex hours, walking distance to Nationals Park and the new DC United stadium), this position is embedded at CMH as part of an ongoing multi-million dollar IT contract. The contract includes a big data search system searching 130+ million data files, a military museum artifact tracking system containing over 600,000 physical historical artifacts, other application software, and operational support.

    The position will also manage the IAVA process, and advise/assist onsite software development teams with cyber security requirements and recommended security procedures.

    The incumbent will have an important role and will interact with customers, maintain existing ATOs and help management develop and coordinate future requirements, manage smaller projects, analyze problems, recommend solutions, develop deliverables, and implement the results. Work will be performed 50/50 in a team environment and independently. Competitive salary commensurate with experience.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelors and eight (8) years or more experience of IT.
    • Must have three (3) years or more experience working with DoD’s RMF environment
    • Must have at least two years experience with Linux- or Unix-based systems
    • Must have a minimum DoD Secret Clearance
    • CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) certification
