    We are seeking a Senior Vice President for Carmichael Lynch Relate!

    ROLE:

    The senior vice president role at Carmichael Lynch Relate, a full service PR agency, provides inspiring leadership to account teams and the agency, superior strategic client counsel, drives the growth of the agency and provides vision for its continued success. A senior vice president understands clients’ business objectives, provides counsel and guidance to clients on how those business objectives translate into communications objectives. An ideal candidate has knowledge and understanding of the integrated marketing mix and the role of storytelling in amplifying consumer marketing. A key initiative is to develop further business opportunities – presenting and/or working with account team(s) to bring creative and unexpected ideas to the client.

    AREAS OF FOCUS:

    • Research: Meets/collaborates with clients to determine objectives and program goals; understands and provides insight into clients’ specific business objectives, products, services and methods of operation; has comprehensive knowledge of clients’ industry, trends and issues; shares knowledge with clients/teams
    • Strategic planning: Develops comprehensive, strategic plans to meet client objectives, timing, budgets
    • Financial management: Manages and/or leads accounts to achieve maximum productivity and profitability by overseeing budget development process
    • Consumer marketing: Demonstrates an integrated approach towards activations, social media and influencers, and earned media relations
    • Purpose: Helps brands tell purpose-driven stories through internal and external channels and counsels brands on how to demonstrate purpose
    • Senior counsel: Manages senior clients’ expectations; meets with senior clients throughout the year to determine and/or review and assess client objectives and program goals
    • Evaluation of KPIs: Ensures evaluation components are included in the plan, including identifying appropriate measurement tools, parameters and budgeting
    • Leadership: Serves as leader in the agency and a role-model in the PR industry
    • Business development: Responsible for growing current accounts and achieving determined income goals
    • Staff management: Encouraging effective personnel performance through team building, leadership, motivation, training, coaching and professional development and growth

    • BACKGROUND: Financial industry experience, corporate communications experience
    • SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: A minimum of 12 years of public relations or relevant work experience in one of the following areas: prior agency, communications or media; solid writing skills; long-standing relationship building with clients; conviction to solve business challenges; strong staff management and delegation skills; and motivation.
