    Job Description

    The REVENUE ACCOUNTING SENIOR ACCOUNTANT will assist in both the overall revenue accounting and accounts receivable processes and work closely with leaders across the business to support the revenue-generating areas of the business.

    A DAY IN THE LIFE…

    • Perform analyses of customer revenue models and evaluate any trends
    • Support the monthly revenue close process by reviewing customer revenue models and recording the related journal entries
    • Verify that customer revenue models are appropriate per Accounting Standard Codification (ASC) Topic 606, Revenue from Contracts with Customers
    • Take ownership of the overall billing process, including:
      • Maintaining a comprehensive and current invoicing schedule according to customer contracts
      • Creating invoices by working with leaders across the business (Customer Partnership, Financial Operations, Sales, Legal, Payables/Accounting)
      • Sending invoices to customers, including keeping all customer payment portals active
      • Setting up new customers
    • Communicate directly with customers in order to address any concerns and ensure an efficient cash collection cycle
    • Perform cash receipts budget to actual variance analysis each month
    • Perform account reconciliations of Accounts Receivable subledger and related general ledger accounts
    • Lead the Trusted Supplier Program (TSP), including:
      • Creating and sending invoices to the customer according to customer contracts
      • Communicating directly with various trusted suppliers to resolve any issues
      • Reconciling all invoices and payments and recording the related monthly revenue share journal entries

    Participate with the team to create and maintain appropriate internal controls

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • CPA a plus, but not required
    • Minimum 2-3 years’ accounting experience (public or private)
    • GAAP knowledge and accounting abilities
    • Excel ninja with strong presentation, reporting, organizational and execution skills
    • Experience with QlikSense, Intacct, or similar platforms helpful
    • Excellent communication (both verbal and written) and interpersonal skills a must
    • Ability to manage competing priorities, maintain a sense of urgency and achieve deadlines
    • Strives to make high contribution in a rapid pace, high change environment
    • Ability to translate insightful analysis into actionable recommendations for business leaders
