    Job Description

    ROLE OVERVIEW

    This is a fantastic opportunity to work at the center of an organization engaged in disrupting and reinventing healthcare. As the CHANGE MANAGEMENT & COMMUNICATIONS INTERN, you will have the opportunity to learn supporting and guiding large scale change efforts with the Operations division of a company undergoing significant growth. We are a small team comprising a Vice President, Director and Operations & Communications Lead. We are dedicated and professional but believe in the power of creativity in driving engagement across the operations organization. The CM & Communications Intern will have the opportunity to apply their learning and hone their skills in change management, strategic communications, project management and more. The CM & Comms Intern will have the opportunity to learn how to project manage discrete initiatives that contribute to transformation what is involved in managing changes in a growing organization and how to create a strategic communications campaign. The CM & Comms Intern will have the opportunity to contribute substantively to each of these areas. 

    A DAY IN THE LIFE…

    • Learn best practices and draft tactical deliverables outlined the CM & Comms plan to drive engagement and ownership of the strategy culture and other priorities. Examples include, town hall content, talking points, articles and summaries.
    • Help drive planning, preparation and delivery of annual leadership development summit. 
    • Learn about and support change management workshops around various change initiatives. 
    • Participate in communications and change management planning sessions and providing implementation recommendations. 
    • Support meetings with leadership across Operations to gain an understanding of initiatives and help identify how to drive engagement and results of business objectives.
    • Develop articles supporting business as usual communications as well as initiative-specific communications.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Currently enrolled full time at an accredited college or university with a focus in communications or organizational psychology background.   
    • Familiarity with project management approaches.  
    • Familiarity with change management approaches.  
    • Ability to balance competing priorities. 
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.  
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.  
    • Ability to work independently as well as in a team-oriented environment. 
    • Effective at working with a co-located team across multiple time zones.  
    • And finally, the right candidate will possess an outgoing, collaborative and get-it-done personality.
