ROLE OVERVIEW

The SOFTWARE ENGINEER INTERN, reporting to SOLUTIONS ARCHITECT, is responsible for the design and development of various applications, services, platforms and solutions that will positively affect hundreds of thousands of users’ health and well-being.

A DAY IN THE LIFE…

• Work on new as well as existing features within our various applications, platforms, and services
• Collaborate with various teams on designing the best and most optimal solutions to complexed features and problems
• Build prototypes using best known methods and within the architecture/engineering framework
• Work effectively across all layers of the technology stack from backends and data tiers to front-end and browser/mobile clients
• Exceptional ability to identify quick solutions to problems with strong bias towards results
• Write and run unit tests and automation tests

Qualifications

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR…

• Major in Computer Science or related field
• Experience programming in an Object-Oriented language(e.g. Java, Kotlin, Dart/Flutter)
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Experience writing unit tests
• Good concepts around programming best practices and design patterns
• Great communication and team player
• BONUS: You have already written an app or two on your own (not including a school/class project).
