Job Title: Account Clerk II (46938)
Job Locations: Virginia Beach, VA 23452
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm
Payrate: $17.15/hr
Job Duties:
- Receive Ombudsman role between department and employees
- Prepare and Assist with department orientation, introductions, and trainings
- Audit and QA personnel and training files.
- Checking in on all new staff every 30, 60, and 90 days from their start date.
- Call employees to review satisfaction survey with them as needed.
- Monitor DHS Ombudsman e-mail inbox for new and existing staff inquiries.
- Audit personnel and training files.
- Process employee evaluations and enter information into a database.
- Budget code loose papers and separate budget coded papers to be filed.
- Process termination, supervisor changes, and other work status changes and transactions in database.
- Provide information to other City departments and the general public to ensure that matters pertaining to accounting records are properly relayed.
- Attend all team, CQI, and HR meetings as required.
- Perform other job duties requiring skills, knowledge and physical requirements as demanded by those duties described or less. Individual assignments will be determined by the supervisor based on then current workloads and department needs.
Minimum/Special/Additional Requirements:
- High school or GED plus two (2) years’ experience in fields providing the required knowledge, skills and abilities, such as clerical accounting or bookkeeping; or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
