Our client, an AI-driven healthcare and life sciences startup, is hiring an Account Executive specializing in Biopharma and Genomics to support continued expansion within digital pathology and advanced laboratory technology solutions.
This opportunity is well suited for a consultative sales professional with experience navigating sophisticated healthcare and life sciences environments who is passionate about bringing innovative AI technologies to pharmaceutical companies, molecular diagnostics organizations, and precision medicine teams.
Responsibilities
Sales & Revenue Generation
- Manage the complete sales process for assigned biopharma and genomics accounts, from initial outreach through contract execution
- Consistently meet or exceed quarterly and annual revenue goals tied to platform adoption and new business development
- Conduct engaging product demos and technical presentations for both scientific and executive audiences
- Maintain accurate pipeline management, forecasting, and opportunity tracking within HubSpot CRM
- Prepare customized presentations, proposals, and Statements of Work (SOWs)
Business Development & Prospecting
- Drive new business opportunities through outbound prospecting, conference networking, and inbound lead engagement
- Develop relationships at industry conferences and events including CAP, PathVisions, HLTH, SITC, and related healthcare/life sciences meetings
- Evaluate prospects based on technical alignment, budget parameters, and deployment readiness
- Collaborate closely with Marketing to convert inbound campaigns, digital engagement, and thought leadership initiatives into qualified pipeline opportunities
Client Relationship Management & Market Expertise
- Establish strong relationships with pathologists, laboratory leadership, research stakeholders, and procurement teams
- Gain a deep understanding of clinical trial operations, laboratory workflows, and barriers to digital pathology adoption
- Share competitive insights, customer feedback, and market trends related to AI applications within healthcare and life sciences
- Work cross-functionally with Product, Regulatory, Legal, and Customer Success teams to support smooth customer implementations and long-term success
Qualifications
- 3+ years of full-cycle B2B sales experience within biopharma, genomics, or digital pathology sectors
- Demonstrated success selling into pharmaceutical organizations, molecular diagnostics laboratories, or precision oncology environments
- REQUIRED: Prior experience selling to molecular diagnostic labs, sequencing centers, biopharma clinical trial organizations, and precision oncology programs
- Track record of surpassing sales quotas within consultative and complex sales cycles
- Knowledge of digital pathology, AI/ML applications in healthcare, lab automation technologies, or next-generation sequencing processes
- Strong communication and presentation abilities, including the ability to explain technical concepts to varied audiences
- Startup or high-growth company experience is a plus
- Experience using HubSpot or comparable CRM platforms
- Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Business, or a related discipline
- Willingness to travel approximately 25–35% for customer meetings and industry conferences
