Job Summary
We are hiring an Account Executive to sign new furniture and home suppliers onto Bison's platform. Bison sells big and bulky products from US manufacturers on Amazon, Walmart, Target Plus, Home Depot, Wayfair, Macy's and our own sites, and runs the listings, pricing, advertising and freight behind them. You bring the suppliers in.
AI agents build the prospect lists, research each company, write the first emails and run the outbound sequences. You take over at the first reply: the calls, the demos, the objections, the negotiation and the close, and then you hand each signed supplier to our onboarding manager to take live. Your week is cold calls, warm emails, demos, and tuning the AI-enabled GTM (go-to-market) automation behind them.
The role is based in our Hinsdale, IL office, full time, on site.
Key Responsibilities
Close new suppliers
Run discovery, pitch and closing calls with furniture and home manufacturers. Explain how Bison's marketplace model works and what carrying a heavy product's freight does to their margin. Handle the objections and negotiate the commercial terms inside the floors we set, through to a verbal commitment.
Call and email
Cold call the week's qualified prospects, phone the warm accounts that opened and clicked but never replied, and approve or edit the replies the agents draft into your inbox before they go out. Follow up every trade-show conversation within the week.
Own the pipeline in Pipedrive
Every deal has a next step and a date. You know the conversion at each stage and where the funnel leaks, and you write the agreed terms on the deal before paperwork starts.
Tune the AI-enabled GTM automation
You operate the agents and automations that run our outbound. When reply rates or stage conversion move, you change segments, subject lines and pitch angles, test one version against another, and edit agent prompts and CRM automations yourself for the everyday changes. Larger changes go to the engineer who builds our outbound tools, with the pipeline evidence behind them.
Hand over cleanly
Pass each committed supplier to our onboarding manager with the agreement and the commitments you made, so catalog and pricing data collection starts the same week.
Report what suppliers say
Tell sourcing and commercial leadership what suppliers asked for, what they refused, and who they compared us against.
Attend the markets
Walk High Point Market in April and October and Las Vegas Market in January and July, meeting suppliers on the floor and booking the follow-up calls.
