Account Manager - Automotive Manufacturing - Base Salary to 85k/year - Dallas, TX
Our client, an auto parts manufacturer, is looking for an Account Manager for their team in Dallas. The Account Manager will maintain productive relationships with existing customers, serve as the primary liaison, and coordinate with quality, engineering, accounting, and more to resolve issues.
The Account Manager role provides stability from an established Tier II customer base; lower stress via 0 direct reports and work centered on ongoing account service and cross-functional problem-solving, guided by clear quality frameworks (APQP/PPAP).
Responsibilities:
Act as primary sales communication window for customers
Respond to customer inquiries and complaints, follow up on AR, and understand customer needs
Be the voice of the customer internally, driving internal actions
Work closely with quality, engineering, and accounting to resolve customer issues and other commercial related decisions
Understand core principles and essential concepts behind Advanced Product Quality Planning, and Production Part Approval Process
Understand the integration of APQP/PPAP with core quality tools like QFD, FMEA, and Control Plans
Recognize the specific roles and contributions within an organization concerning APQP and PPAP adherence.
Maintain and develop relationships by understanding customer current and future needs
Prepare quotes and commercial price negotiations with management direction and strategy, based on incoming RFQ's/online portals, ensure customer requirements concur with negotiated delivery dates, and are aligned with customer service firm and forecasted information
Follow customer changes while facilitating price negotiations and assisting with customer service with volumes, forecasting, critical delivery issues, etc.
Qualifications:
Education: Prefer Degree in related field
Experience: 4+ years of experience in Automotive Parts Manufacturing Industry, experience within a sales, material control, purchasing, or quality role.
ERP Knowledge, Understanding of Six Sigma Processes
Advanced Microsoft Office Skills
Advanced Communication and Negotiation Skills
Knowledge of APQP and PPAP
Knowledge of manufacturing processes
Compensation:
Base salary to 85k/year
