    JOB SUMMARY

    The Account Manager / Service Representative supports daily sales operations by managing customer quotations, processing orders, and coordinating production and service activities. This role serves as the primary liaison between customers, engineering, and the shop floor — ensuring that orders are entered accurately, lead times are communicated clearly, and customer issues are resolved efficiently. Employees in this position combine technical understanding with strong customer service to maintain relationships and drive consistent performance across both fabrication and product-line work.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES

    Quoting and Order Processing - 45%

    Ensure that all received quotations, correspondence and orders are edited for accuracy, terms and price and are entered correctly into the system on a timely basis.

    Secures orders from existing and potential customers by means of visiting the customer’s facility or by other means of contact.

    Secures opportunities to quote on customer requirements.

    Interpret technical data such as specifications, engineering drawings, calculations and commercial requirements to complete sales activities and to meet customer project scope.

    Follows up on quotations submitted to customers.

    Prepare, review, and submit quotes based on drawings, specifications, and prior job history.

    Coordinate with engineering and estimating to confirm scope, pricing, and feasibility.

    Enter customer orders accurately, verifying pricing, terms, and part details.

    Manage quote log and follow up with customers to convert opportunities into purchase orders.

    Support the Sales Manager with backlog reviews, quote aging, and order status updates

    Customer Service and Account Support - 40%

    Serve as primary contact for assigned accounts regarding quotes, order status, delivery schedules, and issue resolution.

    Respond to customer inquiries professionally and promptly by phone or email.

    Work closely with production, quality, and shipping to track progress and communicate updates

    Coordinate warranty or service claims, including scheduling evaluations or replacements.

    Build long-term relationships by ensuring customer satisfaction and reliability of information provided.

    Technical and Production Coordination - 15%

    Interface daily with engineering, purchasing, and shop supervision to confirm manufacturability and timing.

    Review technical drawings and BOMs for accuracy before release to production.

    Provide technical feedback to improve quoting standards and shop communication.

    Assist with light troubleshooting or coordination of field support when needed.

    Maintain CRM and ERP data for accuracy in quoting, order tracking and reporting.

    REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

    Must possess strong written communication and oral communication skills.

    Well versed in Microsoft Office Products and the ability to easily learn how to use other computer programs.

    Proficient with interpreting engineering technical drawings.

    Proven problem-solving ability.

    Strong organizational skills.

    Able to work on multiple projects concurrently and have the willingness to work overtime to meet project deadlines.

    Self-motivated, willing to learn, and be a creative thinker.

    Must be able to fly and/or drive to a customer’s facility as needed.

    Qualification:

    · 5 years of experience in manufacturing with 2-3 years of customer relations/service role.

    · Technical Degree preferred but not required.
