Quest (www.questenergygroup.com) is a Leader in Logistics and 3PL Executive Search and Talent Acquisition.
The Account Manager / Operations Manager is a dual-threat role responsible for the health, growth, and execution of key customer accounts. You will act as the primary point of contact for established clients, identifying opportunities to expand our footprint within their supply chain while leading a dedicated team of Operations Coordinators to ensure every load is built, scheduled, and tracked with precision.
Key Responsibilities
Account Strategy & GrowthRelationship Management: Serve as the lead consultant for existing customers, conducting regular business reviews to ensure high service levels.
Account Expansion: Analyze shipping patterns and data to identify "white space" opportunities, increasing load volume and diversifying service offerings (e.g., LTL, Full Truckload, Temperature Controlled).
Problem Resolution: Act as the escalation point for complex logistical challenges, providing creative solutions to maintain client trust.
Team Management: Oversee a squad of Operations Coordinators, providing mentorship and ensuring daily execution meets company KPIs.
Workflow Optimization: Streamline processes for load building, appointment scheduling, and carrier communication to improve team efficiency.
Load Lifecycle Oversight: Ensure the team is accurately managing the "cradle-to-grave" process, from initial tender to final delivery and invoicing.
Qualifications
Experience: 3–5+ years in third-party logistics (3PL) or freight brokerage, with a proven track record in either Account Management or Operations leadership.
Regional Knowledge: Strong understanding of the Arizona/Southwest freight market and carrier networks.
Technical Proficiency: Experience with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and data-driven decision-making.
Communication: Exceptional verbal and written skills; ability to influence both internal teams and external stakeholders.
Leadership: A "player-coach" mentality—willing to dive into the weeds of load building while maintaining a high-level strategic view.
