Summary/Objective
The Benefits Representative will work directly with internal and external producers and customers to assist in daily activities associated with the Benefits department of the agency.
Essential Functions

· Learn the agency benefit carriers and potential carriers to place applicable lines of business for customers.
· Promptly and accurately respond to requests of benefit producers and customers.
· Consult customers on best point of contact for questions and assist in resolutions to client questions and concerns.
· Properly record and retrieve data using the agency management systems.
· Provide professional and courteous service to agency insureds by telephone and email correspondence.
· Accurately record client notes in agency management system for activities related account servicing.
· Properly acquire needed documentation for quoting, rate comparisons and proposals
· Produce professional quotes and presentation materials needed for sales, enrollments, and renewals.

Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Some overtime may be required. Occasional weekend event participation required.
Travel
Travel to local events and trade shows and occasional client site travel may be necessary.
Required Education and Experience
215 Insurance License Associate degree or high school diploma with three years’ work experience
440 Insurance License – may be obtained on the job for qualified applicants.
