Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our finance team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal controls, and supporting the company’s financial planning and cost accounting activities.
Office Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and maintain general ledger entries and reconcile accounts on a monthly basis.
Manage day-to-day accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and journal entries.
Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
Perform inventory accounting and support cycle counts and physical inventory.
Track and analyze manufacturing costs, including labor, material, and overhead expenses.
Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis.
Maintain fixed asset records and calculate depreciation.
Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards (GAAP/IFRS), company policies, and regulatory requirements.
Support internal and external audits by preparing necessary documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (production, procurement, logistics) to support operational efficiency and cost control.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
CPA designation or progress toward certification preferred.
3+ years of accounting experience, ideally within a manufacturing environment.
Strong understanding of cost accounting principles and inventory valuation methods.
Proficient in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and MS Excel.
Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and organizational abilities.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with ERP systems in a manufacturing setting.
Familiarity with standard costing and variance analysis.
Knowledge of lean manufacturing or Six Sigma principles is a plus.
