Vox Church is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Accountant to join our growing Finance team. This individual will play a critical role in supporting the financial operations of a dynamic, multi-campus organization in a fast-paced environment. Working closely with the Controller and Finance team, the Accountant will help ensure the accuracy, integrity, and scalability of the organization’s accounting processes and financial reporting.

In partnership with the Finance team, this role will support the execution of the following key responsibilities:
Preparation and maintenance of accounting records to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with reporting standards and organizational policies
Process and support the accounts payable cycle, ensuring timely vendor payments, stewardship of organizational resources, accurate expense coding, and continuous improvement of AP processes and workflows
Monitor and analyze working capital needs and support organizational cash flow management
Support the monthly and year-end close process, including preparation of bank reconciliations, credit card reconciliations, accruals, reclasses, and adjusting journal entries
Strong foundation in US GAAP and technical expertise including ASC 842, balance sheet reconciliations, internal controls, and audit coordination
Lead audit preparation efforts and serve as primary liaison to external auditors for annual financial statement audit
Analyze budget vs. actual reports monthly and provide feedback to management to support current year decision making and inform future budget development
·Manage the fixed asset module within the ERP system, including capitalization, depreciation, and accounting for active real estate and construction projects
Lead creation of scalable accounting processes, improving close efficiency, and strengthening controls while supporting business growth and reporting accuracy
Effective partner to leadership through variance analysis, budgeting, and financial insight to assist with operational decision making
Ensure accounting platforms and processes are configured to scale with future campus launches
Support management with ad hoc projects and perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
Minimum of 2 years of progressive accounting experience
Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and technical accounting concepts, including ASC 842 lease accounting
ERP and data‑driven with experience supporting system migrations
Experience with balance sheet reconciliations, cash flow management, budgeting, internal controls, and audit support
Proven ability to improve accounting processes and support organizational growth
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications
Experience with ERP/accounting systems; Sage Intacct experience preferred
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
High level of integrity, professionalism, and discretion in handling confidential information.
