Our client is a large R&D organization seeking an Accountant to join their team. This role ideally would like someone who has been exposed to consolidated finances.

This is a permanent, direct hire opportunity based onsite in Huntsville, AL.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for converting excel based general ledgers for multiple holding companies to Great Plains for monthly reporting 
• Responsible for bi-weekly internal cash reporting, including cash in foreign currencies
• Perform monthly reconciliation of intra-company balances for entire company
• Review monthly bank reconciliations for group cash accounts
• Assist in the preparation of consolidated monthly financial statements, including currency conversion
• Assist with preparation of consolidated annual budget and quarterly forecasts
• Perform account analysis and supporting schedules to support the year-end audit of the consolidated financial statements
• Perform special projects and other duties as periodically required
