    POSITION OVERVIEW

    As an Accountant at NCF, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring operational efficiency and financial integrity. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, handling reporting for fund activity, and executing various accounting tasks such as check disbursements. Your role will also involve supporting management with ad hoc projects and tasks as needed.

    Reporting Structure and Location:

    This position will report directly to the Controller and indirectly report to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO). It is a full-time, in-office role based at our Summerlin location in Las Vegas, NV.

    Responsibilities:

    • Maintaining meticulous and accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
    • Entering and organizing financial data into our accounting software with precision and attention to detail.
    • Handling reporting for fund activity, providing crucial insights into our financial performance and resource allocation.
    • Facilitating various financial transactions, including check disbursements, to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
    • Collaborating with team members to prepare essential documents for fiscal and board meetings, contributing to transparent and informed decision-making processes.
    • Obtaining necessary documentation, such as W-9 forms from vendors, to maintain compliance and transparency in our financial dealings.

    Responsibilities Cont.:

    • Collect and maintain monthly receipts for credit card purchases, reconciling accounts as necessary.
    • Prepare fee allocations.
    • Reconcile interfund activity and balance sheet accounts monthly.
    • Collect and organize monthly receipts for credit card purchases, maintaining accurate records for financial reconciliation and reporting.
    • Provide support to management by assisting with ad hoc projects and tasks as needed, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to contribute to the broader objectives of the organization.

    Qualifications:

    • Experience in Non-profit Accounting: Preferable.
    • Keen Attention to Detail: Indispensable.
    • Expertise in Fund Accounting: Basic knowledge of fund accounting and accounts payable processing, preferably with some experience.
    • Proficiency in Blackbaud software: Beneficial.

    Requirements:

    • A bachelor’s degree in accounting is preferred.
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills are essential, enabling the ability to effectively convey complex financial information and collaborate with team members and external partners.
    • Excel in time management, efficiently balancing multiple tasks and deadlines while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
    • As a self-starter and problem solver, proactively identify and address challenges, contributing to the continuous improvement of our financial processes and operations.
    • Ability to help create and maintain processes will be invaluable, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and scalability in our financial practices.
    • Respect for confidential information is paramount. You'll handle sensitive financial data and always maintain the highest standards of confidentiality and integrity.

    Benefits and Compensation:

    • Salary: $65,000 - $75,000
    • Employment Type: Full Time
    • 20 PTO Days

    • 401k Contribution: 3% Employer Contribution

    • Annual Stipend of $500 - $250 for Education and $250 for Wellness
