    Overview

    Generators on Demand is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to manage our financial records and ensure the accuracy of our accounting processes. This role is essential for maintaining the financial health of our organization, providing timely and accurate financial information to support decision-making.     Responsibilities

    Enter financial data and transactions

    Verify the accuracy of transactions that have been entered

    Complete required tax forms

    Maintain and manage all aspects of the general ledger, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting.

    Perform double entry bookkeeping, including accounts receivable and accounts payable functions.

    Conduct general ledger reconciliation to ensure all accounts are balanced and discrepancies are addressed promptly.

    Utilize financial software, to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency

    Process payroll and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.

    Manage 10 key typing tasks for data entry and record keeping efficiently.

    Collaborate with external auditors during annual audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.

    Qualifications

    Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field

    Proven experience as an Accountant or similar role in accounting.

    Proficiency in using financial software, QuickBooks, for bookkeeping tasks.

    Experience with accrual basis accounting

    Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail to maintain accurate records.

    Ability to handle accounts receivable efficiently while ensuring timely collections.

    Familiarity with budgeting processes and general ledger reconciliation techniques.

    Strong analytical skills to interpret financial data effectively.
