Insero Talent Solutions is recruiting an Accountant for a manufacturing company in Rochester, NY.

In this role, you'll be a key player in ensuring the financial health and accuracy of our organization. From preparing journal entries to reconciling accounts and contributing to financial reporting, you'll support critical processes that keep our operations running smoothly. With the year-end close already behind us, you'll have the opportunity to step into a well-organized financial environment, focus on driving improvements, and help lay the groundwork for our continued success.

Responsibilities:

· Prepare journal entries for approval and investigate variances, playing a key role in the general ledger reconciliation and supporting the month, quarter, and year-end close process.

· Actively contribute to the preparation and analysis of financial results, including balance sheets.

· Manage account and bank reconciliations, as well as the generation of credits and debits.

· Support and enhance the internal control environment to ensure accuracy and compliance.

· Assist with special projects and initiatives aimed at driving productivity improvements.

· Provide backup support for Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable processes.

· Handle general administrative tasks, such as generating internal reports and maintaining organized filing systems.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and / or equivalent work experience; experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.

· Advanced Excel skills are a must, along with proficiency in MS Office and G-Suite.

· Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to stay organized, prioritize effectively, and adapt to deadlines in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.

· ERP experience preferred; experience with Epicor a plus.
