As our operations expand, we are seeking a full-time Accountant to manage our financial processes, ensure compliance, and provide accurate reporting to support the firm’s leadership.
Position Overview:
The Full-Time Accountant will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities of the firm, including billing, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and trust account reconciliation. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in legal or professional services accounting and possess a strong understanding of compliance with trust accounting regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage day-to-day financial operations including general ledger, billing, and expense tracking.
Prepare and maintain accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Handle accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliations.
Reconcile client trust accounts in compliance with Florida Bar regulations.
Monitor cash flow, budgets, and financial forecasts.
Ensure compliance with tax laws and assist with year-end audits.
Provide financial analysis and reports to support management decision-making.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred but not required).
Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience (law firm or professional services experience strongly preferred).
Familiarity with legal billing and trust accounting compliance.
Proficiency with accounting software (QuickBooks, Clio, or similar).
Strong organizational and analytical skills with great attention to detail.
Ability to handle confidential financial information with discretion.
