Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join this dynamic civil engineering company. This role requires proficiency in QuickBooks Online and a solid understanding of GAAP principles.

The Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the migration of financial records to QuickBooks Online.

• Maintain accurate records of journal entries and ensure proper documentation for all transactions.

• Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP standards.

• Perform account reconciliations, including balance sheet reconciliation and bank reconciliation.

• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections.

• Conduct financial analysis and cash flow analysis to support business decisions.

• Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities to guide financial planning.

• Provide technical accounting support, including auditing and regulatory reporting.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in accounting and/or bookkeeping.

• 3+ years of experience accounting in the construction industry.

• Expert proficiency in QuickBooks Online.

• Proficiency in financial concepts and financial management.

• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data effectively.

• Strong attention to detail coupled with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, preferred.
