A property management company that has experienced large amounts of growth in recent years is is looking to add an Accountant to their team. Working on a team, this hire will oversee accounting, budgeting, lease compliance, recoveries, and tenant relations to ensure accurate financial reporting for a portfolio of properties. The ideal candidate must have a strong grasp of basic accounting skills and be interested in gaining knowledge of the commercial property accounting space.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting (can be substituted for experience for 2+yrs of experience in a role involving general ledger accounting)
- 2+yrs of experience in a position involving AP/AR or general ledger accounting
- A growth mindset from a skills development perspective
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Nice to Have:
- Experience with commercial property accountig
- Proficiency in a property accounting software (Yardi, MRI, Argus, etc.)
