Accountant
Department: Accounting and Registration

Location: North Austin, TX
Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accountant to support our accounting team. This position plays a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, processing vendor invoices, recording deposits, and assisting with administrative tasks within the Accounting and Registration Department. The ideal candidate is highly organized, comfortable working with numbers, and eager to learn in a fast-paced dealership environment.
Key Responsibilities
Accounts Payable (AP):
· Receive, code, and enter vendor invoices into the accounting system.
· Ensure proper documentation for all purchases (packing slips, PO numbers, etc.).
· Reconcile vendor statements and follow up on discrepancies or missing invoices.
· Assist with preparing payments and maintaining organized AP records.
· Maintain spreadsheets, tracking logs, and digital files in Excel and shared folders.
· Assist with general administrative duties, including scanning, filing, and organizing records.
· Additional duties as assigned by management
Accounts Receivable (AR):
· Enter and apply customer payments accurately in the accounting system.
· Record daily deposits and ensure proper documentation for all payment methods.
· Assist with reconciling accounts and tracking outstanding balances.
· Assist with general administrative duties, including scanning, filing, and organizing records.
· Additional duties as assigned by management
Qualifications
· Min. 2 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping role. Associate degree in accounting preferred.
· Strong understanding of accounts payable and receivable processes.
· Proficiency with accounting software (Lightspeed DMS, QuickBooks, or similar).
· Intermediate Excel skills (formulas, lookups, and data entry accuracy).
· High attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
· Ability to work independently and collaborate with multiple departments.
· Comfortable learning new systems and working in a fast-paced office environment.
· Dealership experience a plus
Compensation
Hourly pay range: $24 – $28, depending on experience and qualifications.
