Accounting Assistant – Your Job Duties:
You will work alongside the company's Controller to manage accounts payable (A/P) and accounts receivable (A/R), assist with payroll, and special accounting projects as needed.
You will:
- Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of payments and collections
- Perform monthly reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records
- Review payroll timecards, identify and resolve discrepancies before processing
- Support month-end close activities, including journal entries and reporting
- Calculate and process monthly sales commissions with attention to detail and accuracy
- Maintain ERP system and billing records, ensuring data is current and consistent
- Collaborate cross-functionally with shipping, supply chain, production, and quality teams to keep financial information aligned with operational activities
- Assist with ad-hoc projects, reporting, and process improvements as needed
Accounting Assistant - Required Skills, Experience & Personality Fit You have:
- Prior experience with accounts receivable functions (ie: issuing invoices, billing process, collection follow-ups)
- Prior experience with accounts payable processes (issuing checks, accounts payable purchase orders)
- Familiarity with ERP systems and maintaining accurate financial data
- A small business mindset – no task is too big or too small, you enjoy working as part of a small team where you are learning and pivoting constantly
- Ability to work in Santa Ana in the office daily with the team
- An associate degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience
You might have:
- Experience developing reports for cost accounting
- Reconciliation experience in QuickBooks Online (QBO)

- Your compensation will start at $25 per hour, depending on experience
- You will work out of our state-of-the-art Santa Ana, California, facility
- 8 am – 5 pm schedule with flexibility on start and stop time
