Accounting Clerk The Accounting Clerk position will be in the Omaha, Nebraska office and will play a vital role in supporting the smooth operation of our personal injury law firm by managing key administrative tasks related to medical records requests and payments. You will process payments and enter critical data into our case management system. Your work ensures that our legal team has timely access to the necessary medical records and financial information to move cases forward efficiently. Main Purpose: Working to assure the accurate and timely processing of payments and to manage medical records requests for personal injury cases. This position ensures that all relevant records and payment details are accurately logged in our management system to support the firm’s ongoing casework. What to Expect: You’ll work closely with our legal team in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment. Experience with CASEpeer is desired, as it is our primary case management system. You will be responsible for handling sensitive medical and financial information, so attention to detail and confidentiality are key. This is a part-time role, working approximately 20 hours per week at $20.00 hourly. The job will be performed in Omaha Office A minimum of a Bachelor's degree is required. Responsibilities: • Assisting our team in the management of the accounting aspects of a personal injury auto accident case. • This will require the Processing payments for medical records and other case-related expenses. • Requesting, tracking, and managing medical records from healthcare providers. • Inputting accurate data into the firm’s CASEpeer case management system. • Monitoring the status of medical records requests and following up with medical providers when needed. • Assisting the legal team with additional administrative tasks as required. • Communication with various providers • Accounts receivable and account payable • Documenting financial transactions details and monitoring Qualifications: • Experience with CASEpeer: Required proficiency with the CASEpeer case management system. • Previous legal or administrative experience: Preferably in a personal injury or law firm environment. • Strong attention to detail: Ability to accurately process payments and manage sensitive information. • Excellent organizational skills: Capable of handling multiple tasks efficiently, including managing medical records requests and tracking payments. • Proficient in data entry and case management software: Experience with legal or administrative data entry in a professional setting. • Effective communication skills: Ability to correspond professionally with medical providers, clients, and team members.
