What You’ll Be Doing
As an Accounting Assistant, you will support the day-to-day functions of the accounting department while playing a key role in job costing and project financial tracking. Your responsibilities will include:
Entering and maintaining financial data in Ramp with accurate coding
Assisting with accounts payable, including invoice entry, vendor setup, and payments
Supporting accounts receivable through invoicing, payment application, and collections follow-up
Processing and reconciling employee expenses and company card transactions
Tracking and allocating expenses to jobs and cost codes
Maintaining job cost records and supporting documentation
Coordinating with operations teams via AccuLynx to verify job details
Performing bank and credit card reconciliations
Organizing digital and physical financial records
Assisting with month-end close tasks and basic journal entries
Providing general administrative support to the accounting team
What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking a detail-oriented and reliable individual who thrives in a structured, task-driven environment. Ideal candidates will have:
A basic understanding of accounting principles (AP/AR, reconciliations, data entry)
Experience with Sage or similar accounting systems
Familiarity with Ramp or other expense management platforms
Experience with AccuLynx or similar software (preferred)
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data entry and basic formulas
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
The ability to manage routine tasks with consistency and accuracy
Clear communication skills when working with internal teams and vendors
Education & Experience:
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or in progress)
1+ year of accounting, bookkeeping, or administrative experience preferred
Construction or job costing experience is a plus, but not required
