    Overview:

    We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Assistant/Purchasing Coordinator to join our team. This role is essential for managing financial transactions, ensuring timely payments, processing purchase orders, collecting outstanding accounts receivable, and maintaining accurate records. The successful candidate will handle accounts payable, ensure prompt payment of invoices, invoice clients, and ensure monthly sales tax reporting.

    General Responsibilities:

    Process accounts payable invoices

    Prepare weekly payments, ensuring timely payments to all vendors

    Review the AR Aging report weekly and follow up on accounts over 30 days old.

    Assist with the timely processing of payroll

    Prepare bank reconciliations

    Reconcile credit card statements

    Maintain an orderly financial filing system

    Manage purchase orders, maintain inventory, and ensure procurement of goods and services.

    Responsible for the weekly count of all consumable items and reordering based on inventory

    Other duties as assigned.

    Requirements

    High School Diploma required.

    Minimum 3 years' accounting experience required.

    Ability to work well alone and in a team environment.

    Experience with accounting software (Sage 100 or Odoo preferred).

    Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel

    Excellent organizational and time management skills.

    Exceptional attention to detail.

    Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

    Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity.

    Job Type: Full-time Hours: Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM CT to 6:00 PM CT.
