As our Accounting & Agency Operations Associate, you will be the engine behind our financial integrity. You won't just "manage tasks" you will own the flow of capital through our agency. You will ensure that every dollar, from premium collection to carrier remittance, is tracked with precision using AMS360, acting as the bridge between our production team and our financial success.
Core Responsibilities
1\. AMS360 Mastery & Financial Operations
System Ownership: Serve as the primary driver for AMS360, overseeing the full lifecycle of premium invoicing, accounts receivable (A/R), and accounts payable (A/P).
Transaction Excellence: Execute and reconcile high-volume transactions, including direct and agency bill receipts, endorsements, and premium finance agreements with total accuracy.
Strategic Reporting: Transform AMS360 data into actionable intelligence by generating production and general ledger reports that inform leadership decisions.
2\. Premium & Commission Management
Revenue Flow: Streamline the deposit process, ensuring incoming premiums are instantly matched and reconciled against outstanding invoices.
Relationship Management: Act as a liaison between producers and clients to resolve outstanding balances and maintain healthy cash flow.
Carrier & Producer Remittance: Own the payout cycle, ensuring commissions are calculated correctly and carrier statements are reconciled and paid on time, every time.
3\. Financial Integrity & Audit Support
The Close: Play a vital role in the month-end and year-end close by preparing sophisticated journal entries and multi-account bank reconciliations.
Data Stewardship: Maintain a gold-standard digital filing system, ensuring we are "audit-ready" at all times.
Analytical Support: Assist in the creation of internal financial statements and provide documentation for external auditors.
Who You Are (Qualifications)
Experienced: You have 1-3 years of accounting experience, ideally in a fast-paced insurance brokerage or financial services environment.
AMS360 Expert: You have hands-on experience with AMS360 and understand how its financial modules interact with the rest of the agency.
Excel Power User: You are comfortable with VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, and using data to tell a story.
Meticulous: You have a "detective’s eye" for detail you spot discrepancies before they become problems.
Discreet: You understand the weight of handling sensitive financial data and act with the utmost integrity.
Bonus Points For:
A degree (Associate's or Bachelor's) in Accounting or Finance.
Deep knowledge of Commercial Lines (GL, Property, Workers' Comp).
