Job Description
Timmons Group is currently seeking an experienced Accounting Assistant to join our Richmond, VA office location. The successful candidate will support the day-to-day operations of the accounting group. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys working collaboratively, and is eager to learn accounting-specific processes. The position is primarily in-office, in our Richmond headquarters. This position has the potential for cross training and growth within the accounting department.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities of a successful candidate include but are not limited to:
Administrative Support * Coordinate meetings, team events, and calendar scheduling * Manage incoming communications, including emails and phone calls, and ensure timely follow-up * Maintain organized filing systems (digital and physical) * Prepare internal documents and reports as needed
Accounting Team Support * Assist with invoice processing, expense tracking, and data entry * Support reconciliation tasks and document preparation for audits * Help maintain financial records and assist with month-end close activities * Learn and apply accounting software tools and internal systems * Provide backup support for accounting team members during peak periods
