Gargiulo Produce seeks a dedicated and detail-oriented Accounting Associate to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will handle bookkeeping, administrative, and various accounting tasks while supporting our Accounting Team. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to payroll, administrative business activities, and fleet and mileage reporting. Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day accounting and finance activities with accurate record-keeping.
• Maintain financial records, including processing journal entries and supporting documentation.
• Support accounts payable (AP) and treasury processes.
• Assist with fixed assets, intercompany transactions, and reconciliations.
• Oversee fleet management, repairs, and violations.
• Maintain driver credentials and manage safety and accident reporting.
• Assist with payroll processing.
• Respond to vendor and internal inquiries promptly, professionally, and efficiently.
• Support the Accounting Supervisor in monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes.
• Handle special projects and other job-related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

• Minimum 3 years of bookkeeping/accounting experience.
• Minimum 3 years of accounts payable experience.
• Courses or a degree in Accounting or a related field preferred.

• Ability to multitask and follow through on assignments.
• Capability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Ability to maintain confidential records.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with strong Excel skills.
• Starting Salary $23 and Up
