Accounting Associate

The Accounting Associate for HENDERSON FAMILY ENTERPRISES will provide support to Henderson Implement & Marine, the leading dealer of boats, tractors, and offroad vehicles in Lake Charles, and Henderson Wholesale, a multi-state distributor of Hunt Brothers Pizza. Note: This position has the option to work a portion of the week in Lake Charles.

Responsibilities:

Process Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable

Process Financial Data in Accounting Systems

Process Bank Transactions

Process Inventory Transfers and Sales Batches

Process Equipment Unit Sales

Organize and Maintain Financial Records and Files

Reconcile assigned Balance Sheet & Income Statement Accounts

Support Month-end and Year-end Closing processes

Cross-train with other Associates to assist when someone is out of the office

Provide General and Administrative Support to the Accounting Team

Educational and experience requirements:

Accounting/Bookkeeping experience

Able to effectively use Microsoft Office Suite

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Strong work ethic
