Flower Hill Coins & Collectables, one of the largest certified coin wholesalers, has a career opportunity for a full-time professional who excels in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. We are looking for an Accountant Bookkeeper to join our team! You will be responsible for preparing and analyzing financial records for our company.
Re sponsibilities:
- Financial Recordkeeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all financial transactions, including sales, purchases, inventory, and taxes.
- Account Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank reconciliations and credit card reconciliations to ensure accuracy in financial records. Reporting financial statements to management, including profit and loss reports, balance sheets, and cash flow analysis.
- **Accounts Payable/Receivable: **Process and track accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections. Work with customers and vendors to resolve any discrepancies.
- Tax Compliance: Assist in preparing tax documents and ensuring proper tax compliance, including sales tax reporting and any other applicable taxes.
- Payroll Support: Assist in processing payroll and ensuring compliance with payroll tax regulations.
- Software Utilization: Utilize QuickBooks accounting software to record transactions, run reports, and track financial data.
- Customer Service: Assist with customer inquiries related to billing, payment status, and account information.
- Create new processes to improve financial efficiency
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in accounting/bookkeeping or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles.
- Proficient in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Knowledge of sales tax regulations and experience with tax reporting.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
- Familiarity with coins, numismatics, or collectables is a plus, but not required.
Education & Experience:
- Associate’s degree in accounting.
- 3 years of bookkeeping experience, ideally in a retail setting.
Work Environment and Schedule:
- Office-based position, with a dynamic and supportive team.
- Monday – Friday, 9:00 am – 5:00 pm
