Job Description
Looking for an experienced Senior Accountant that can move shortly into an Accounting Manager role within the Finance Department.
This position is responsible primarily for budgeting, forecasting, applicable financial reporting and data analysis for the Finance Team. Additional responsibilities within the Finance team include cross training and backup for the monthly financial close and other duties within the financial process for the Advisory Service lines. This position will report directly to the Chief Operating Officer with a dotted line to the Manager of Finance and Administration.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Primary responsibility for the annual financial budget
Primary responsibility for Monthly Forecasting and Analysis for all practice lines of the company
Temporary role to fill in for Accounting Supervisor in all job roles during maternity leave
Be a key part of a team that is continually streamlining processes, technology advancement and delivering key financial information to the partner group and executive committee
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor or Associates degree in accounting or similar major preferred
5+ years of accounting experience as an Sr. Accountant or Accountant at minimum
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to deal with employees and clients
Ability to exercise discretion and strong judgment when handling confidential information
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Strong experience and working knowledge with an accounting software package such as QuickBooks, Microsoft Dynamics, Intacct, Sage or NetSuite. QuickBooks a plus
Experience with web-based software tools (i.e. on-line expense reporting)
Tallie and/or Bill.com would be a plus
Experience with time and billing software.
Working knowledge of CCH Axcess would be a plus
