    Job Summary

    The Accounting Clerk supports the Finance department is a clerical role that supports accurate financial reporting and the day-to-day accounting operations including accounts receivable/payable and billing. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing invoices, supporting purchase order tracking, and ensuring proper documentation within the accounting system.

    Department: Finance Schedule: M - F, 8:30AM - 5:00PM Location: On-site

    Essential Duties

    Data Entry: Enter and maintain financial transactions, invoices, and checks in Sage Intacct; Perform data entry, filing, and clerical tasks related to accounts payable, billing, and accounts receivable; Maintain organized electronic accounting records.

    Accounts Payable/ Receivable Support: Review invoices, billing statements, and supporting documentation for accuracy; Report discrepancies as needed; Track and process purchase orders, including compiling approvals and necessary documentation.

    Compliance: Maintain organized electronic accounting records and ensure proper filing in accounting systems; Ability to handle confidential financial information professionally.

    Requirements

    High school diploma or equivalent.

    Minimum one year experience in accounting, finance, clerical, or administrative support role or relevant coursework/training.

    Additional Required Qualifications

    Ability to accurately and efficiently enter data into computer software and systems.

    Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills.

    Basic mathematical skills.

    Must be able to learn other accounting software systems.

    Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software (advanced proficiency in Excel).

    Knowledge of basic accounting principles or financial reporting standards.

    Strong data entry skills with attention to detail and accuracy.

    Ability to handle confidential financial information professionally.

    Required Licenses/Certifications

    Basic Life Support (BLS) Certificate (or ability to obtain within six months of hire).

    HIPAA Training (or ability to complete within one month of hire).

    Preferred Experience

    Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, or a related field preferred.

    Experience with accounting software (Sage Intacct preferred).

    About the Organization The Center for Comprehensive Care & Diagnosis of Inherited Blood Disorders (CIBD), a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, is committed to providing comprehensive care for patients and their families with rare, chronic inherited blood disorders. CIBD is a part of a nationwide network of over 140 Hemophilia Treatment Centers that use multidisciplinary teams of blood disorder specialists to provide expert comprehensive diagnosis, medical care, outreach, education, outcomes monitoring, surveillance, and prevention services to people with Hemophilia, Sickle-Cell Anemia, Thalassemia, Von Willebrand Disease, Mast Cell Activation Syndrome (MCAS) and other related benign hematology conditions. CIBD is the regional grantee for the Western States Region for Hemophilia, the Pacific Sickle Cell Regional Collaborative (PSCRC) and Networking California for Sickle Cell Care (NCSCC) providing regional leadership, fiscal and administrative oversight, grants management, capacity building, clinical education, technical assistance, evaluation, and outreach to public and private health agencies at the local, state, and federal levels.
