Position Summary:
Perform various calculations, verify, and perform data entry duties within the accounting department. Maintain accurate accounting records. Review accounting documents to ensure proper completion and approvals are made before completing data entry of information. Follow-up to obtain missing supporting documents. Cross train in all areas within the accounting department to be able to perform accurate reconciliation and balancing. Always provide outstanding customer service.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Data entry for area assigned using SAGE 100.
Reconcile and review for all supporting documents prior to data entry.
Reconcile and balance assigned general ledger accounts.
Cross Train in all areas within the accounting department.
Keep and maintain accounting records.
Perform work-related duties as assigned.
Knowledge and Abilities:
Ability to communicate effectively in a clear concise manner, both orally and in writing.
Ability to use accounting software.
Skills in Micro Office specifically excel and word.
Manage correct reporting and data entry for all duties performed.
Protect operations by keeping financial information and company plans confidential.
Qualifications:
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Valid Driver’s License with clean driving record preferred
High School Diploma or GED.
Previous accounting bookkeeping experienced desired.
Preference given to Hualapai Tribal members
Working Conditions:
Must be able to work varying schedules, weekends, and holidays.
Typical office environment.
