Accounting Clerk

We are currently seeking an organized and detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our finance team.
Summary: The Accounting Clerk will be responsible for supporting the finance department in maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. This role requires attention to detail, strong numerical proficiency, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and processing of financial documents, including invoices, receipts, and bills.
- Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions and ensure timely data entry into accounting software.
- Reconcile bank statements and accounts to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies as needed.
- Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including vendor and customer communication.
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes, including the preparation of financial reports.
- Maintain organized financial files and documentation in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Assist with audits by providing required documentation and information to auditors.
- Collaborate with team members to identify process improvements and streamline accounting workflows.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the accounting manager or finance director.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in accounting or related field is a plus.
- Proven experience as an accounting clerk or similar role is preferred.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word) and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, etc.)
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and practices.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
