Key Responsibilities:
Accounting & Finance
· Manage full-cycle bookkeeping: accounts payable, receivable, bank reconciliation, and general ledger
· Process payroll using ADP (preferred)
· Prepare month-end and year-end reports and reconciliations
· Monitor cash flow and maintain financial records
· Serve as internal lead for our accounting software, Connected by Accountek (training provided)
Compliance & Administrative Operations:
· Maintain accurate HR and benefits records, including employee files and onboarding documents
· Administer pension, 401(k), and profit-sharing contributions
· Track and update insurance coverage (health, liability, auto, fleet, workers’ comp)
· Maintain DOT and IFTA documentation and fleet maintenance logs
· Coordinate with external vendors (e.g., accountants, insurance brokers)
· Ensure confidentiality and compliance with state and federal reporting deadlines

Skills & Qualifications:
Required
· Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience)
· 2+ years of bookkeeping and payroll experience (full-cycle preferred)
· Reliable ability to commute to Howell, NJ 07731
· Strong proficiency in Excel, data entry, and accounting systems (training provided)
· Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
· High integrity and discretion with sensitive financial and HR information
· Clear written and verbal communication skills
· Ability to self-manage and thrive in a low-drama, independent work environment
· Proactive mindset and ability to anticipate needs and solve problems

Preferred
Experience with ADP or similar payroll software
Familiarity with HR processes, insurance, or benefits coordination
