    Job Description

    _ A Day in the Life_

    • An Accounting Coordinator at Munson Healthcare plays a critical role in supporting the financial integrity and operational efficiency of the health system. The Cash Accounting Coordinator is responsible for cash and investment functions to ensure collection, processing, reconciliation, and reporting are completed timely, accurately, and efficiently. The position performs functions to safeguard Munson’s assets, ensure liquidity, and to administer bank accounts. This role actively participates in the development and maintenance of processes and controls to contribute to the system’s strategic initiatives.

    _ What’s Required_

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Bachelor’s degree in Finance with Accounting classes equivalent to Accounting minor
    • Master's degree in related field preferred
    • 5 years internal Munson Healthcare accounting experience OR 7 years experience in a health care or multiple company accounting environment or public accounting firm.
    • Preferred - CMA, CPA, FHFMA, CHFP
