    Job Description

    The Accounting & Finance Intern is a member of the Accounting & Controlling groups of Keenfinity. The position requires working as an effective member of the Accounting & Controlling departments, as well as cross-functionally with various departments across the organization (sales, marketing, customer service, credit, and finance). The successful Intern will thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy assuming responsibility and accountability to the business.

    The Accounting Intern will:

    • Contribute ideas and feedback to accounting & finance processes related to ongoing business transformations.
    • Own a Continuous Improvement Project in Treasury, Payroll, Fixed Assets, or similar in coordination with a staff mentor.
    • Assist with treasury functions including cash management, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
    • Review transactions on the general ledger for financial analysis and generate reports from SAP.
    • Prepare journal entries.
    • Assist with monthly tax reporting.
    • Support financial analysis, rebate pricing verification, data processing, and month end close business processes.
    • Coordinate with Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) partner.
    • Collaborate with international accounting & tax teams within the company.

    Learning Objectives:

    The Accounting & Finance Intern will partner closely with a staff mentor to build skills in accounting and finance in a professional environment. You will gain experience collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders and meeting professional standards in a corporate environment. At the conclusion of the internship, you will be equipped to give a presentation outlining your contributions to a Continuous Improvement Project.

    Qualifications

    • Pursuing Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in a relevant field such as Accounting, Finance, Math, Data Science, or similar.
    • GPA of 3.0 or above is preferred.
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills as well as advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, and a proven ability to multitask and work effectively required.
    • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) preferred.
    • Experience with PowerBI preferred.

    Additional Information

    The U.S. based hourly rate for this role is between $22.00 - $23.00/hour. Within the range, individual pay is determined based on several factors, including, but not limited to, work experience and job knowledge, complexity of the role, job location, etc.
