Job Summary
We are seeking a Full Cycle Staff Accountant to join our team! The Full Cycle Staff Accountant is responsible for managing the complete accounting cycle, ensuring accurate financial records, timely reporting, and compliance with company policies and accounting standards. This role handles day-to-day accounting functions, month-end and year-end close activities, account reconciliations, financial reporting, and supports budgeting, audits, and continuous process improvements. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently while collaborating with cross-functional departments.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the full accounting cycle, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash management, and fixed assets.
Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and adjusting entries.
Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
Complete month-end and year-end closing procedures within established deadlines.
Prepare accurate financial statements and supporting schedules.
Maintain the general ledger and ensure all transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
Reconcile bank accounts, credit card accounts, and other balance sheet accounts.
Monitor accounts receivable collections and assist with customer account reconciliations.
Process vendor invoices, payments, and maintain accurate accounts payable records.
Assist with inventory accounting, costing, and inventory reconciliations, as applicable.
Prepare and file sales and use tax returns and other regulatory filings.
Support the annual budget process, financial forecasting, and variance analysis.
Assist with internal and external audits by preparing requested schedules and documentation.
Ensure compliance with GAAP, company policies, and internal controls.
Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and increase operational efficiency.
Assist with cash flow reporting and treasury-related activities.
Maintain organized accounting records and supporting documentation.
Collaborate with operations, purchasing, sales, customer service, and management to resolve accounting issues.
Support special projects and perform other accounting and finance duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
3+ years of full-cycle accounting experience preferred.
Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting principles.
Experience with ERP/accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Bilingual in English and Mandarin (must be fluent in both languages)
Preferred Qualifications
Manufacturing, distribution, or wholesale accounting experience.
Experience with inventory and cost accounting.
Experience with sales tax compliance and multi-state reporting.
CPA or CPA candidate is a plus.
