    Great Work Employment is seeking for a detail-oriented and highly organized Accounts Payable Specialist to join our dynamic Food Manufacturing team on the west side of Cleveland. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the entire accounts payable process, ensuring timely and accurate payments to our vendors and suppliers. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and a keen understanding of financial principles. You will work closely with various departments to resolve discrepancies, maintain vendor relationships, and assist in month-end closing activities. This position is critical in helping our organization maintain financial integrity while optimizing cash flow and ensuring compliance with company policies. The successful candidate will also have a strong proficiency in accounting software and be comfortable working with spreadsheets to track expenses and payment schedules.

    Responsibilities

    · Process and manage all incoming invoices and payments promptly and efficiently.

    · Verify accuracy and completeness of invoices before processing.

    · Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.

    · Assist in month-end closing processes and prepare reports related to accounts payable.

    · Maintain organized records of all invoices and payment transactions.

    · Collaborate with internal teams to resolve issues related to payment processing.

    · Build and maintain positive vendor relationships through effective communication and follow-up.

    · Assist administration with answering phones

    Requirements

    · Proven experience in accounts payable or a similar role in an accounting department.

    · Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.

    · Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high levels of accuracy in data entry.

    · Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.

    · Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and deliver results under pressure.

    · Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address discrepancies and workflow issues.

    · Good communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with vendors and internal staff.

    This is a 3-6 month contract position, with option for extension/;ong term hire. Our team will ensure proper communication during timing of contract.
