    We are looking for a highly experienced and well qualified Accounting Manager to lead, and help optimize our accounting team in Houston, Texas. This role involves supervising an enthusiastic team of accounting and collection specialists, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and driving process improvements. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, fluency in QuickBooks, excellent leadership skills, and a commitment to accuracy and efficiency.

    Responsibilities:

    Oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, ensuring smooth workflows and compliance with company policies.

    Assign tasks and projects to team members to maintain accuracy and accountability.

    Develop and implement new processes to improve efficiency and optimize workflow.

    Manage the company’s general ledger, accounts receivable, cash flow, and collections to maintain financial health, stability and asset management.

    Lead the month-end and year-end close out processes, including the preparation of financial statements and audit documentation.

    Ensure timely and accurate filing of property and sales taxes in compliance with all relevant regulations.

    Participate in budgeting and forecasting efforts to support strategic financial planning.

    Monitor and enhance accounting systems and procedures, initiating corrective actions when necessary.

    Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to meet financial reporting objectives and deadlines.

    Requirements

    Proven experience in accounting management, including leading a team.

    Proficiency in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

    Strong knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and collections.

    Familiarity with audit processes and tax regulations.

    Demonstrated ability to lead and supervise a team effectively.

    Excellent organizational skills with a focus on accuracy, multi-tasking, and detail-oriented work.

    Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify and resolve financial discrepancies.

    Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification is a plus
