The Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing the firm's daily accounting functions, supervising accounting staff, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting, and maintaining compliance with accounting policies and procedures. This position reports directly to the Controller and works closely with executive leadership. Responsibilities: • Manage daily accounting operations, including: Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Bank Reconciliations, Credit Card Reconciliations, and Payroll Support • Supervise and mentor the accounting team • Ensure timely month-end and year-end close processes • Prepare and review journal entries and account reconciliations • Assist with monthly financial statements and management reports • Monitor cash flow and account balances • Maintain fixed asset schedules • Assist with budgeting and forecasting • Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies • Coordinate with external accountants during audits and tax preparation • Develop and improve accounting procedures and internal controls • Support multiple office locations with accounting and financial needs • Assist leadership with financial analysis and special projects Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required • 3–5+ years of progressive accounting experience • 2+ years of management or supervisory experience preferred • Strong knowledge of GAAP • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills • Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage, or similar ERP systems • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills • Strong attention to detail and accuracy • Ability to prioritize multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment Preferred Qualifications • Experience in a law firm or professional services environment • Multi-location accounting experience • Knowledge of trust accounting (preferred) • Experience with budgeting and financial reporting • Process improvement and workflow automation experience Compensation: $80,000 - $95,000 yearly DOE
