An established organization is seeking a self-starting Accounting Manager / Controller to play a pivotal role in our accounting department, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and analyzing financial models and strategies, financial planning and forecasting and providing insightful financial analysis to support decision-making. The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, with at least 5 (for AM) 10 (for Controller) years of experience in an accounting and finance role. The Accounting Manager / Controller should possess strong knowledge of financial principles, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities:
- Maintaining and reconciling balance sheet and general ledger accounts, including the management and oversight of AR and AP (customer invoicing and payment processing, vendor management and processing of all vendor invoices)
- Oversee the development and implementation of financial plans, policies and procedures
- In conjunction with CFO, develop financial models and strategies aimed at long-term and short-term financial performance analysis
- Analyze and interpret financial data to identify trends, risks and opportunities
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, budgets and forecasts
- Maintain relationships with banks and other financial institutions
- Ensure financial objectives of the organization are met
- Review and maintain performance metrics to measure and track the organization’s financial performance
- Analyze financial risks and provide advice to senior management on mitigating these risks
- Work closely with CFO and outsourced accounting team to ensure the timely delivery of above responsibilities
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- At least 5 years’ experience in a financial role
- Extensive knowledge of GAAP
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience with Microsoft Suite, notably MS Excel (proficiency with VLOOKUP’s and pivot tables required)
- Experience in Manufacturing and/or Construction industries
- Hands on experience implementing ERP and Accounting Systems
- Experience work with JobBOSS a huge plus
