    A high-growth, award-winning national services company is conducting a search for a collaborative, analytical, and detail-oriented Accounting Manager. This is a key leadership role within the finance function of a firm with a significant national presence and a proven track record of cultural excellence.

    The Role

    The Accounting Manager will be responsible for leading and managing the accounting and financial reporting activities for assigned markets. This role requires a blend of technical accounting expertise, process improvement analysis, and collaborative partnership with General Managers.

    Core Responsibilities Include:

    • Analyzing processes and proposing improvements to maximize efficiencies, accuracy, and consistency across the accounting function.

    • Partnering directly with General Managers to oversee budgeting, financial statements, and variance analysis for assigned markets.

    • Ensuring strict compliance with GAAP, company procedures, and local management agreements/leases.

    • Preparing and posting the full month-end close cycle journal entries.

    • Performing comprehensive reconciliations (bank accounts, balance sheets, subledgers to the general ledger).

    • Preparing monthly client management reports, internal financial statements, and calculating owner/client distributions.

    • Preparing monthly sales and use tax returns.

    • Participating in internal audits and controls review.

    What We're Looking For

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting is required; CPA certification is preferred.

    • 5-7 years of experience managing accounting activities in a high-volume, geographically distributed environment (e.g., retail, services).

    • Experience reading, understanding, and applying contracts to accounting work.

    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).

    • Desire to create innovative solutions, manage projects, and design processes.

    • Public accounting experience and familiarity with NetSuite is desired.
