    Accounting Manager

    Our client is seeking an accounting professional to join their growing team. This position is remote-hybrid, working onsite out of the Richmond VA office 2 days per week. The compensation range for this position is $130K - $150K base + bonus.

     

    Primary Responsibilities

     

    • Act as a key member of the team, contributing to both operational and financial strategy
    • Prepare and deliver monthly financial reports
    • Lead the monthly close process, including financial statement preparation, variance analysis, and trend monitoring
    • Build and manage annual budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial projections
    • Deliver actionable financial insights and guidance to improve operating performance
    • Manage borrowing base calculations, compliance reporting, and certifications tied to the line of credit
    • Conduct technical accounting research and support complex or non-routine transactions
    • Oversee sales commission calculations and payroll processing through a third-party provider
    • Direct all back-office finance and accounting functions, including:
    • Internal controls and compliance
    • Cash management and treasury activities
    • Accounts payable
    • Corporate card programs and expense reimbursement policies
    • Coordinate tax filings and ensure regulatory compliance
    • Support internal and external audit requests, including those related to financial statements and medical receivable collateral
    • Recruit, onboard, mentor, and develop accounting and finance team members

     

    Candidate Qualifications

     

    • Active CPA license required
    • 10+ years of professional experience, including:
    • Approximately 5 years in public accounting
    • 5+ years within a high-growth, transaction-driven organization
    • Strong technical accounting expertise with a high degree of accuracy and rigor
    • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced, scaling environment
    • Exceptional communication skills with experience engaging senior leadership and investors
    • Hands-on leadership approach with a track record of building and developing teams
    • Advanced skills in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
    • Proven strength in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
  • Compensation
    $130,000-$150,000 per year
